I ski in the Land Down Under

We are all aware of the arid deserts of Australia and shrimp to throw on the grill. But what you may not know that Australia has snow-capped mountains, too. The Australian Snowy Mountains or the Snowie, as they are known locally, are part of the Great Dividing Range. This mountain range stretches over 2,175 miles from north-eastern rainforests of Queensland, until the entire length of the east coast in colder climates, finally fading into the arid plains of central Western Victoria.
